Rain! The weather's fine!

A boatload of rain fell last night. Our normal hour and a half drive from Lafayette to get home in the G.I. took two plus hours. The downpour sucked, and April wasn't feeling chatty so I blasted my Mountain Goats and Alkaline Trio albums I had in the car to get home.

Lot's of tune's today .. another super hectic day in the office:
Neil Young "Live Rust"
The Flaming Lips "In a Priest Driven Ambulance"
The Misfits "Three Hits from Hell"
Uncle Tupelo "May 1, 1994"
Miles Davis "Water Babies"
John Butler Trio "Sunrise over Sea"

The Misfits are a band I was scared of when I was a little kid. The creepy skull logo and the idea of creature punk rock gave me the heebie-jeebies. Until I listened to them in middle school ... dang I was blown away. So simple, and the lyrics are border line idiotic, yet fun. The box set is worth the price just for the cool coffin shaped case.
