All Saints Day ...
I've never been much for Halloween. I have occasionally dressed up though - Mr. T, Princess Leia, Buck Rogers. I remember trick-or-treating only a few times when I was a kid. Not because my parents didn't want to take me, but because I just didn't care.
If they gave out something other than candy - say, steaks, pizza slices, ribs - I'd go door to door everyday. But candy's not really my thing.
Halloween bugs me now because it seems its the day for the lazy people to just wear pajamas and pretend they're a baby, or the pretty people to wear a low cut/high slit thing and insert a 'sexy' tag infront of their name and voila! Sexy Cat, Sexy nun, sexy zombie .. whatever.
We had two trick-or-treaters at our house this year. I wan't even home to be there. The dogs scared them for me - thank God. Luckily though, I did get to watch "Night of the Linving Dead' and "Dawn of the Dead." What better movies have been made in the zombie genre, I don't know.
Yesterday being Halloween, I listened to a lot of scary music by the Misfits.
Glen Danzing and Jerry Only pounding three minute tunes about Marilyn Monroe's death, baby killers and monster movies could easily be the soundtrack to any Svengoolie or Sammy Terry movie marathon. I actually listend to the entire boxed set while sitting in the construction zone none as my office.
