I got tagged, and now I'm complying to the rules
So, I was 'tagged' by a good friend of mine to post 10 random things about myself ... so, here goes.
10 Random Facts~ I was tagged!
The Rules: Once you are tagged you must post a blog of your own stating 10 random facts/weird habits/general things about yourself. Then you must choose 5 people to tag and at the end of your blog you must list their names and the reasons why you chose them. And finally, you must comment those 5 people with a message that they have been tagged and instruct them to read your blog. Get it? Good! Now, off you go.
1: I have a scar on my head from when I was two years old. I got it the very same day that Elvis died. When my hair is shaggy enough, you can see it.
2: As a kid, my parents had two pet ducks. I didn't like either one of them. They laid eggs, and would stink up the backyard if they wereren't removed fast enough in the summer.
3: I have film director Kevin Smith's (a.k.a. Silent Bob) personal home telephone number. I interviewed him in college and we had trouble touching base with each other. Finally, his agent gave me his home phone number. I called it, but he was busy, so, in nice guy Kevin Smith form, he took my number down and called back about ten minutes later. I doubt the number still works.
4. I've seen Widespread Panic 21 times, in five different states. I even got engaged on a Widespread Panic trip to Colorado.
5. I hate sand. We live near Lake Michigan, but I hate sand. It gets everywhere and until you live near a beach, really live by it. You won't realize how sand really does get everywhere. Bed sheets, underwear, couch pillows ... ick.
6. In college, my apartment was cited by the city for being a health hazard. No shit. I didn't know they handed those things out to personal residences.
7. I had perfect attendance in elementary school until the week before Christmas break of my fifth grade year. My Christmas break was EXTRA long that year.
8. I was one of two bass players in a band called "LumberJackKerouac" We played one show, then realized how bad we were - but our name was totally bitchin'.
9. I love the Carpenters. They are my favorite 'terrible' band of all time. Sure, Ringo Starr and Phil Collins play drums and sing, but their voices were never as sweet as little Miss Carpenter.
10. I'm scared of manmade heights, but in a weird way. I don't like roller coasters but I can ride them if I'm not pressured into it. I love the skydeck at the Sears Tower, but you can't joke with me about falling off or pushing me. If I feel in control, I'm fine. Now, as for natural heights .. i.e. Grand Canyon, I love poking my head over the edge. I was given the evil-eye and stare down when standing on a cliff in Hawaii during high winds. It was cool though.
So, there you have it. Ten random things. Some are known more than others, but there they are.
Now, will I post this and expect five people to do the same? I'm not sure ... I may do that later.
But for now, I'll pick my five people of ..
Heather: It's been so long since I've heard much about you, I need to know some random things.
Jill: What can be more random than an inside joke about a purple box? Fill me in MizzD
Steve: I know a lot about you from the past five years, especially during my No. 4 random thing.
Ryan: I gotta know more about my future neighbor. You never can be too safe, even if he is a cop.
Jason: Either one. One of the Jason's is an old friend from high school, the other a newer friend in St. Louis. I gotta know more about either.
